Apache Felix

Apache Felix runs out of the box on Google Android. In fact Felix was the first OSGi implementation to run on Android, and we summarized these experiences in this blog entry in 2007. Now that Android released version 1.5 we can run without any modifications to the phone.

Apache ACE

Apache ACE is currently in incubation. This open source provisioning solution is used to install both full Android applications and componentized OSGi-based ones. Commercial extensions, like device management, license management and integrated software management are available from luminis.
